The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team at HQ in Brandlesholme, Bury. This role requires you to co-ordinate specific activities and provide administration support to the HR team.
The role is essential in ensuring that all HR and Occupational Health records relating to the Company's employees are relevant and up to date. You will be the go-to person for initial support, and escalation, ensuring that our HR processes run smoothly and our new starters feel welcomed from their first day.
Working 36 hours a week / Monday to Friday / 3 days in the office & 2 from home / Early afternoon finish on a Friday
What is the role all about?
* Managing day 1 induction for support staff & managerial construction new starters.
* Providing administration support to the HR team, whilst maintaining and updating employee records in the HRIS systems.
* Producing regular information and input to monthly reports, quality audits, tenders and PQQs
* Maintain and update driver mandates, ensuring compliance, processing any driving offences and manage the salary deductions or change to responsible driver information for any offence that carries points.
* Maintain up to date HR files on the Company's extranet, Hare Connect including referencing and coding of all documents, policies and procedures
* Responding to email queries via inbox and to specific HR SLAs.
* Coordinating the annual health surveillance programme liaising with respective administrators to ensure all Technician visits, appointments are scheduled, attended and followed up in a timely manner.
* Liaise with site/production administrators to schedule Technician Visits and employee recalls.
* Provide confidential support to the Head of HR & Training and HR Advisors to submit timely and detailed Management Referrals and report follow ups.

* Issuing all new employees in safety critical roles with an OH new starter form and arrange any follow up appointments for employees where health concerns need further attention.
* Follow up on all site summary reports, maintaining and developing structured filing and other reference systems for fit slips and Occ Health correspondence ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
* Supporting with recruitment activities from ensuring requisitions are signed off, placing job adverts to arranging interviews, ensuring candidates are eligible to work in the UK and liaising with candidates during the recruitment process.
* Preparing and send out offer letters, contract and change letters for new starters and existing employees.
* Process starter, leaver and change notifications ensuring sign off, that the employee has received confirmation and that relevant areas of the business have been notified, especially Payroll and IT department.
What are we looking for:
* General Level of Education - Maths and English of Grade C or above
* Level 3 CIPD qualification Previous experience of working in a HR environment essential
* Understanding of GDPR; discretion is essential due to confidential nature of information being handled.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office package, particularly Word and Excel, in particular with Excel– creating and using trackers and modelling, conditional formatting, complex formulas
* Can demonstrate a reliable level of understanding and practical application of HR policies and procedures
* Ability to take an organised and efficient approach to work.
* High attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
* Adaptable to prioritise, work to deadlines and meet the changing demands of the role.
* Enthusiastic, proactive and self-reliant – 'can do' attitude
* Ability to work as part of a team.
