Health and Safety Adviser
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Up to £33,469 per annum inclusive of car allowance
Location: Ashington (base office) with agile working across all of Bernicia’s offices and geographical operational areas inclusive of the ability to work from home after completion of a satisfactory probation and/or development period.

About the role:
1. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development and management of all aspects of health and safety across Bernicia.
2. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, you will undertake a full range of health and safety and related admin duties.
About you:
You are looking to be part of a team that makes a difference. You’ll need:
3. A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety and relevant post NGC experience.
4. An inquisitive and logical mind
5. Up to date knowledge of health and safety legislation and be able to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development.
6. A NEBOSH Construction Certificate would be advantageous.
7. Experience in auditing construction sites, drafting and reviewing task risk assessments, undertaking CoSHH and HAVS risk assessments would be advantageous
8. Ideally you will hold or be working towards your NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
9. Full driving licence and use of a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
