ICT Senior Officer (Planning and Building Standards)

Planning and Building Standards have a vacancy for a motivated individual to undertake and assist with the provision of ICT support and development activities in Planning and Building Standards. You will work in an exciting and dynamic environment which is at the heart of business change throughout the Council.
We are looking for an ICT Senior Officer to join the Team to support and develop ICT systems for Planning and Building Standards. You will be involved in developing specifications, identifying and evaluation development options, as well as testing the systems, for the service. Experience in SQL and MS Access is desirable. The post holder should have detailed knowledge of the administrative / ICT aspects of Uniform / Idox Case and Document management systems. Knowledge of Enterprise is desirable.
The successful candidate will work in close co-operation with ICT Lead Officer and other members of the Team, other Council service areas and the Council’s ICT Partner Provider to help support users and deliver business change. A key part of your role will be to support Planning and Building Standards in their objective of meeting customer expectations.
We work in a hybrid way at this time which encompasses aspects of home (if desired) and office working. Our modern open-plan offices are in Edinburgh City Centre, 5 minutes’ walk from Waverley Station.The Council provides a wide and far reaching variety of services making us unique as an employer, and our varied rewards cater to the needs and wants of our employees. Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
