Hubber is on a mission to electrify urban transport. Cities are going electric, but not fast enough.
From taxis to delivery vans, commercial fleets are shifting to EVs, but the infrastructure isn’t keeping up. We’re fixing that. Hubber develops ultra-rapid charging hubs where they’re needed most. In the last 12 months we’ve opened our first hubs and closed a £60m raise. Now we’re scaling, and world-class technical delivery is at the heart of it.
You’ll be the one driving the technical, commercial, and on-site reality of turning sites into operational infrastructure. We’re looking for someone who thrives on order in chaos – the kind of person who gets genuine satisfaction from a perfectly colour-coded tracker, an airtight delivery process, and a Gantt chart that actually runs to plan.
→ What You’ll Do
* As Project Manager, you’ll own delivery of our hubs from diligence to handover.
* Oversee 50+ projects across UK cities at varying stages of delivery.
* Build, refine, and scale delivery processes – turning lessons learned into standard operating procedures.
* Manage contractors, ICPs, and subcontractors, ensuring programme, safety, and quality standards are met.
* Lead tendering, procurement, and cost control, including QS reviews and valuations.
* Coordinate technical design reviews (civils, HV/LV), ensuring compliance with DNO/IDNO and planning standards.
* Own programme tracking and reporting using Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software.
* Drive energisation, testing, and handover – ensuring every hub goes live smoothly.
→ What We’re Looking For
* Extreme organisation – able to manage 50+ live projects, multiple contractors, and overlapping timelines without missing a beat.
* Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Project (or equivalent project management software)
* Process-driven mindset – someone who documents, standardises, and continuously improves how things are done.
* Proven delivery record in civils, energy, renewables, or utilities infrastructure. 5+ years of direct project management in construction/infrastructure delivery.
* Strong commercial acumen – confident running tenders, managing QS processes, and planning cashflow.
* Hands-on leadership – equally comfortable in steel-toe boots on-site or presenting to the exec team.
* Problem-solver – thrives under pressure, anticipates blockers, and gets things moving again fast.
* Mission-driven – you want to decarbonise transport at scale and are energised by making a true impact.
→ Nice to haves
* Chartered or working towards (ICE, IET, RICS, or equivalent).
* Track record delivering high-powered EV charging, electrical substations or renewable infrastructure with success.
* Familiarity with JCT/NEC contracts and construction law basics.
