Document Controller (Previous Relevant Experience Required), West Midlands
Telent’s Network Services division, specifically the technology Programmes team, is seeking a Document Controller for a 6-month fixed-term maternity cover contract, with potential for extension. The role requires attendance at the Warwick Head Office (CV34 5AH) at least once a week, with a flexible work arrangement thereafter. A full UK driving license is advantageous.
At Telent, you will contribute to maintaining critical networks, supporting the development and management of project documentation, and ensuring accuracy and compliance within the document management system (DMS). Experience in administration or coordination is highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
* Manage document submission and receipt within the company and client’s DMS.
* Update project information and disseminate to team members.
* Maintain communication platforms and security measures.
* Ensure document accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
* Report issues related to documents and platform access.
* Assign document numbers and create metadata.
* Implement workflows to control document versions.
* Manage obsolete documents and perform regular DMS audits.
* Coordinate with technical and other stakeholders to ensure timely document submission.
* Provide training on DMS and communication platforms.
* Act as the point of contact for Telent on project matters and attend meetings.
* Liaise with client’s document control staff as needed.
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates are experienced administrators, coordinators, or document controllers with meticulous attention to detail, familiar with document management systems, version control, and reporting tools such as Power BI or Oracle. Strong communication skills, stakeholder management, and adaptability are essential.
