Salary: Up to £32,199 (£19,580.47 pro-rata) per annum + benefits (depending on qualifications & experience)

Responsibilities
You will deliver GCSE English and Functional Skills Literacy to full-time students and adults. You will work in onsite classrooms and online through the virtual learning environment, using Google Classroom. You will equip students with skills for their future and strive to provide outstanding education and training that inspires learners to achieve their potential.

* Participate in delivering high-quality teaching that engages learners in a variety of methods
* Contribute to the learner experience and educational outcomes within the Maths and English provision
Qualifications
* You will hold at least an A Level (or equivalent) qualification in English or above and either have, or be willing to work towards, a teaching qualification
* Ideally, a degree qualification in a chosen subject
* You will be an effective and motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives
* You will be able to bring the subject to life using practical, theoretical and digital methods to engage learners and provide them with essential skills for the future
* Experience in developing creative resources and monitoring/tracking learner progress to promote positive outcomes
Department Info
Your line manager will be the Deputy Manager for English and Maths. You will regularly report on objectives to update the Maths and English Lead regarding KPIs including student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
You will be part of a Curriculum and Department team and will work with other teaching staff to develop and share good practice. You may also participate in cross-college teams or working groups on key projects.
