A leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Energy division, supporting a flagship National Grid transmission project in Yorkshire.

The Energy division delivers major Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) projects for regulated and private clients, with a strong track record across high-voltage transmission and distribution schemes. The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a major infrastructure scheme, ensuring robust governance, financial control and contractual compliance across the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring site teams adhere to group commercial procedures and governance standards
Leading internal commercial reporting and contributing to project performance reviews
Preparing and managing valuations/applications for payment with full supporting documentation in line with contract requirements
Overseeing cost reporting to the client with contractually compliant detail
Managing subcontract and material procurement schedules
Administering subcontractor and supplier accounts from requisition through to final account agreement
Undertaking contract administration duties, including change management and maintaining associated commercial registers
Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities, including value engineering initiatives
Ensuring accurate cost allocation and coding aligned to internal and external requirements
Measurement of quantities in accordance with standard methods of measurement

About You
HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an experienced Quantity Surveyor ready to step up
Strong working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
Experience within civil engineering, utilities, or major infrastructure projects
RICS / ICES registered or actively working towards chartership
Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
