About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain CNC machinery to produce high‑quality precision components according to engineering specifications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., milling, turning, grinding)
2. Interpret technical drawings and engineering blueprints
3. Perform quality checks using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
4. Adjust machine settings to maintain accuracy and efficiency
5. Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
6. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
7. Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets
Skills & Experience
8. Previous CNC Machinist experience (minimum 1-3 years)
9. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
10. Strong understanding of tooling, feeds, and speeds
11. Familiarity with FANUC, Siemens, Haas, or similar controls
12. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
13. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
14. Good problem-solving and communication skills
Desirable (Not Essential)
15. Apprenticeship or qualification in Mechanical Engineering / Machining
16. Experience with CAD/CAM software
17. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
