The Team

Our Audit Transformation team is at the heart of transforming the way we Audit as a firm. As well as supporting our key Audit infrastructure (Aura, Halo, Smart Budget) the team also supports ongoing and new projects that can shape the future of Audit, examples of this include Connected Development, Next Generation Audit (NGA), and BtAC. Audit Transformation (AT) continues to play an increasing role in evolving how we deliver our Audit services, in response to both internal and external opportunities and challenges, with a focus on:

* how we improve quality of delivery
* reduce the cost of delivery
* evolve the working experience of our partners and staff with a focus on Making Quality Easier (MQE)


Working within the AT team, you will have the opportunity to:

* Work with the business and key stakeholders to shape the Audit Delivery Model, ensuring it is scalable, sustainable, and meets new and evolving business opportunities and challenges;
* Scope, drive and project manage individual transformation projects, including identifying success measures and MI requirements;
* Work closely with the implementation team during scoping, piloting and roll out of the individual projects;
* Use and build your analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and strategic thinking to identify opportunities, take ownership and propose solutions 'from a blank piece of paper';
* Respond in an agile way to new and changing business priorities, thriving in an environment where no day looks or feels the same;
* Build unparalleled networks across the UK and Global Audit business and supporting functions, and utilise these networks effectively;
* Build outstanding influencing skills, to gain consensus and drive approval of change proposals;
* Build and utilise outstanding project management skills, to drive and manage change in a fast paced and dynamic environment;
* Enhance your problem-solving capabilities, to identify and solve complex business problems;
* Drive and support business implementation and change management efforts;
* Have the opportunity for international travel within our RTM expansion;
* Support our Next Generation Audit (NGA) team working across the Global Network.


Job Description

We are seeking a number of Senior Managers to join our team leading multiple change projects across AT and the audit practice more widely.

Individuals will have the opportunity to:

* Be at the forefront of one of the strategic pillars, including: Making Quality Easier, Next Generation Audit (NGA), and Remote Team Model expansion;
* Gain exposure to senior leadership within Audit;
* Utilise existing skill sets and build transferrable new ones, beyond those typically available as part of front-line audit delivery teams;
* Leading a multi-location team, using your team and relationship management skills to ensure the delivery of high quality work;
* Work with a diverse range of individuals, with different specialisms and expertise;
* Develop new and broaden existing networks across the UK firm;
* Work flexibly from their base location anywhere in the UK.


Examples of ongoing projects include:

* Remote Team Model (RTM) expansion. This project is a critical strategic priority and a key component of future growth. Working on the RTM project would involve leading on the operational and technical roll out of overseas teams in new territory locations. The project would involve acting as a key link between the UK Audit Leadership team, the AT RTM Project Management Office (PMO), and the local territory management team. Working on this project would involve regular international business travel, with a longer term aim of leading on the ground for a period of time (candidates should ensure their visa status would allow them to travel within Europe, India, and the Middle East);
* Making Quality Easier (MQE). The MQE programme aims to make it easier to achieve high quality, whilst improving the experience of working in Audit for all of us, examples of workstreams can include how we simplify the execution of our methodology, how we work with the ADMs, Breaking the Audit Cycle (BtAC), and what digital tools we can implement to support audit delivery.
* Next Generation Audit (NGA). Working as part of a global team at the forefront of creating and delivering a multi-year programme of a new audit ecosystem. The programme includes; laying the foundation of accelerated innovation and scalability of Assurance services, enhancing quality and productivity, enhancing our people and client experiences, enabling growth.


Successful candidates will have / be:

* An established Senior Manager with proven ability to be an integral part of a high performing team within a leadership capacity (including positive feedback relating to delegating, motivating, coaching & upskilling junior team members);
* Must possess a Chartered Accountant / ACA / ACCA / ICAS qualification (or an international equivalent);
* Strong knowledge of PwC Audit methodology and processes;
* An awareness of or direct experience delivering financial statement audits within the UK;
* Be able to take a technical subject matter and translate into simple, 'out of the box' material;
* The ability to consider the end user/audience's perspective and use this to help shape implementation/communications strategy;
* Dynamic and agile, able to respond seamlessly to shifting priorities;
* The ability to work under pressure, in challenging timeframes and with conflicting and evolving priorities;
* Strong written and oral communication skills, including when working in a hybrid working environment;
* The ability to think differently and creatively, and innovate with new solutions that challenges historical ways of working;
* Excellent organisational / project management skills;
* Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality;
* An interest in supporting and driving organisation change, and utilising and/or building new skills to drive transformational change in our business.

This role offers the potential for flexible working. Work on the RTM project would involve regular international business travel. This role is being offered initially on a 12-month secondment basis, with a view to possibly extend further.
