Job Description

Position: Full-time Bid Manager

Location: Hybrid or remote working - Nottingham

Working hours: 40 hours per week (08:30 - 17:30)


Position Summary

We are seeking a Bid Manager to join our expanding commercial team. The role involves leading the bid process to win new contracts and support business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and some familiarity with the creative or marketing sectors.

In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will own the creation of persuasive bids and proposals, manage deadlines, and ensure high-quality submissions. You will work closely with various teams to craft responses that meet client needs and align with company objectives.


Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Bid Management: Lead the entire bid lifecycle from qualification to submission and post-bid feedback.
2. Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective bid strategies aligned with company offerings and market needs.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with different departments to gather information and ensure cohesive bid responses.
4. Content Creation: Write, refine, and proofread engaging proposals tailored to specific clients and opportunities.
5. Timeline & Resource Coordination: Manage bid schedules to ensure timely and high-standard submissions.
6. Market Insight: Stay updated on company services and market trends to inform bid strategies.
7. Process Improvement: Maintain and enhance bid content libraries and processes for continuous improvement.
8. Reporting: Track and report on bid activities, outcomes, and resource use.


Skills & Experience

* Experience managing bids, preferably in creative, marketing, or fast-paced commercial environments.
* Knowledge of procurement processes in public and private sectors.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
* Familiarity with marketing tools, digital strategies, or AI applications in bids is advantageous.
* Solid project management and organizational skills.

* APMP certification.
* Understanding of marketing and creative industries.
