Library & Information Assistants
18.5hpw | Fixed Term until 31/12/2026
Are you outgoing, love helping people and enthusiastic about your local community?
If so, we are looking for 2 part-time (18.5hrs) Library & Information Assistants at Morpeth Library to assist in the promotion and delivery of a comprehensive and efficient library and information service to residents and visitors in Northumberland by maintaining the day to day operations on site; acting as the first point of contact, maintaining a high level of customer care and undertaking a range of tasks that support the delivery of a quality service.
What we are looking for
If you:
* have strong customer service skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.
* are approachable and helpful
* are confident with people and technology, some experience with library systems would be an advantage.
* are Community-minded and inclusive
* have excellent organisation skills and the ability to work flexibly as part of a team.
* have the ability to travel between sites this would be desirable; access to a car and a driving licence is helpful but not required.
At the heart of the role is a genuine interest in books, reading, and literature and community engagement.
