My client, a global supplier of accessories, selling both to retail and wholesale, is looking to hire a Head of Sales who will report to the Commercial Director. This is a newly created role that will be pivotal in helping the business achieve its five-year growth plan.
As the Head of Sales, key focuses will include new business development, international expansion, and margin protection. You will be part of the senior management team, working closely with Design, Product Development, QA, and Wholesale. Key responsibilities will include:
* Developing and implementing a sales strategy aligned with the company's 5-year growth objectives
* Identifying and securing new retail and international accounts to drive revenue growth
* Leading the development of new product category strategies in collaboration with design and product development teams
* Monitoring and managing sales performance to ensure targets and margins are met or exceeded
* Analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions
* Managing and mentoring Key Account Managers and the New Business Development Executive
* Fostering a high-performance, target-driven culture within the sales team
* Developing strong, strategic relationships with existing and prospective customers for sustainable growth
* Overseeing customer engagement strategies to ensure high-quality communication and service delivery
* Representing Boardmans at senior-level client meetings, trade shows, and industry events
* Collaborating with internal teams to align on product development, pricing, and delivery
* Leading high-level negotiations with key clients and partners
