Key Responsibilities Specialist Instruction: Deliver high-quality English lessons as a subject expert, moving beyond general cover to provide deep academic insight.Full Planning & Prep: Take full responsibility for the planning and preparation of all lessons, ensuring they meet the specific needs of the curriculum and your learners.Consistent Delivery: Provide a reliable and consistent presence for the department, helping to maintain standards during a colleague's long-term absence.Digital Integration: Utilise your computer literacy to enhance learning and manage classroom resources effectively.Continuous Development: Engage in additional CPD provided every Monday to stay at the forefront of teaching practices.Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with a "lovely" and highly-regarded English team to maintain a positive and productive learning environment. Working Hours Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00Friday: 08:00 - 15:00Note: Additional CPD sessions are provided on Mondays. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is essential.Subject Expertise: You must be an English Specialist; this role is not suitable for non-specialists or general cover staff.IT Skills: Ideally computer literate and comfortable using technology within the classroom.Commitment: Looking for one consistent individual who can commit to an ongoing long-term absence.Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
