Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home &##128205; Full-time, Permanent

&##Our client is a well-established, values-led children’s residential home based in Maidenhead, providing high-quality care and support to young people with emotional and behavioural needs. The service is committed to delivering trauma-informed, child-centred care within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced residential professional looking to step into, or further develop, a Deputy Manager role within a supportive and well-run service.

&##Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of an Ofsted-registered children’s residential home.
You will play a key role in leading the staff team, maintaining high standards of care, and ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted expectations. Support the Registered Manager with the overall management of the home
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-centred and trauma-informed care
Support safeguarding processes, incident management, and regulatory compliance
Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and placement stability
Support staff training, induction, supervision, and performance management
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to Ofsted inspections and audits
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (or equivalent)
Willingness to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

Level 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People)
Experience acting as Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Support Worker

&##Significant experience within a children’s residential care setting
Strong working knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted frameworks
Proven leadership and people-management skills
Confidence managing safeguarding concerns and challenging behaviour
Flexibility to work shifts, including on-call duties where required
⭐ Experience supporting young people with EBD or trauma-related needs
Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
Medication management and auditing experience
Behaviour management training (MAPA or equivalent)
Pay Range & Compensation Package
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on experience
Paid sleep-ins and on-call allowance (where applicable)
