REALTIME is on the lookout for two Freelance Lead Animators to join one of our existing projects.
We are looking for very talented Lead Animators who have a wealth of experience in both Mocap animation and keyframe animation to help us deliver a really exciting Games project.
These roles would suit someone who can display a background of delivering motion capture focused productions, create forward-thinking and captivating animations, and has the ability to lead a remote based team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Work on a wide array of Mocap driven character animations.
* Liaise with the client and ensure that there is clear communication to pass down to team members.
* Oversee and lead a small animation project team, being able to provide creative and technical leadership, support, and feedback.
* Assist and deliver quality animation based on creative briefs.
* Delivering against client requirements and ensuring creative continuity across projects.
* Maximising productivity across an animation team by ensuring there is consistent delivery by monitoring the team and identifying any roadblocks.
MUST HAVE SKILLS & QUALITIES
* Ability to direct engaging character performances.
* Expertise within using Maya to create engaging animation performances.
* Experience working with Mocap data is essential.
* A strong technical background in Maya with efficient rigging knowledge is desirable.
* Deep understanding of animation within visual effects for games/film/television.
* Experience as an animation supervisor, lead animator or animation director within a VFX studio.
* An effective people coach, with a focus on team development.
