Join to apply for the Approved Tuberculin Tester role at IVC Evidensia UK.
We are looking for a new person to join our practice as an ATT. The team is composed of veterinarians and veterinary technicians/assistants, with a supportive and caring environment. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week. TB testing will take place on a Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday. Hours can be discussed and flexed for the right candidate to 32–40 hours per week. Some early starts may be required, followed by early finishes once all test paperwork has been submitted.
Our work covers a mix of dairy, beef and sheep farms, camelids and smallholdings. Scarsdale is a teaching practice for final year vet students from Nottingham Vet School, so part of the role will involve teaching. The practice is friendly and experienced, with a focus on high standards of care and professionalism. You will join the team as a valued member to help meet increasing service demand.
Responsibilities
* Perform TB testing on farms, submit tests, and maintain all required equipment after training.
* Work in the office when not on farm tasks, including organising vet diaries, taking drug orders, booking tests, and contributing to audits needed to deliver these services.
Qualifications and Skills
* Full driving licence (driving to and from farms is essential).
* 3 GCSEs or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
* At least 6 months’ cattle handling experience.
* Good communication and IT skills.
* Must be 18 years or over at start date in line with TB tester government requirements.
* Confident, positive attitude with attention to detail, empathy for client stress, and discretion to maintain client-focused relations.
* Knowledge and understanding of the current and ongoing fight to eradicate TB is advantageous.
Desirable: OCQ(AHP) – ATT (Approved Tuberculin Tester).
