Technology Technician – Part-Time (12 Hours per Week), Permanent
Location: Croxley Green, Rickmansworth
Contract Type: Term Time Only + 2 Additional/INSET Days
Hours: 12 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: H4 Point 7 – £25,584 + £1,013 Fringe Allowance
Pro-Rata Actual Salary: £7,279.60 per annum (including fringe)

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a forward-thinking and high-achieving secondary school in the Croxley Green area to recruit a Technology Technician to join their thriving Design and Technology department from September 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity to support a creative and fast-developing department that has recently undergone significant investment and expansion. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing materials, maintaining resources, and supporting the delivery of practical lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and maintain tools, materials, and equipment for practical lessons
* Support teaching staff with lesson preparation and demonstrations
* Ensure workshops and equipment meet high standards of safety and organisation
* Promote and maintain a safe and clean working environment
* Assist with the organisation and storage of resources
Ideal Candidate:
* Practical, hands-on background in a workshop or technical setting
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in a school or workshop environment
* A proactive and supportive approach to working with staff and students
* A commitment to encouraging creativity and problem-solving in young people
Department Overview:
The Design and Technology provision has recently been revitalised and is now housed in a brand-new Innovation & Design Centre featuring two multi-use workshops, a design studio, and a prep room. The final phase of the upgrade included a £100,000+ refurbishment of the Food Technology room in Summer 2023. The department is rapidly growing, and this role plays an important part in its continued success.
