Primary SEND Teacher / SEND Teacher Mainstream primary school Long term role Pay rate: £170 - £250 /per day (Depending on experience and qualifications) Start date - 15 th April 2024 Tempest Education are working with a primary school in the Dagenham area who are looking for a Primary SEND Teacher / SEND Teacher. Your role will encompass creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment, tailoring teaching methods to address individual strengths and weaknesses, and ensuring that each pupil has the opportunity to flourish and reach their full potential. The successful candidate will collaborate with highly professional and caring staff with the drive to contribute to the unique school atmosphere. The primary SEND Teacher / SEND Teacher role is a long-term position for a teacher looking for a fixed working week, 5 days a week, full time. The role could become permanent for the right candidate. This role is not suitable for ECT's. If you believe you are the ideal primary SEND Teacher / SEND teacher you will have: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or recognised teaching qualification. A valid DBS and successful vetting/safeguarding checks. UK classroom experience with a calm, kind, and nurturing approach Good knowledge of SEMH, ASD, ADHD, MLD and SPLD. A calm, kind, and nurturing approach. Your responsibilities will include: Leading and delivering the primary school curriculum at Key stage 1 & key stage 2 level. Following and implementing the school policies, rules, and procedures. Creating stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environments. Communicating with parents, updating, and informing them about their child's learning development. Supporting the assessment and tracking of student progress, providing feedback to the head of department. Encouraging every pupil to become independent and help develop their confidence.
