The role is responsible for managing utility services across the organisation’s housing stock and communal areas. This includes ensuring that electricity, gas and water supplies are correctly allocated to the appropriate suppliers and that all accounts are accurately maintained. The post holder will coordinate meter installations, removals and changes when required, while maintaining accurate records of all meters and supply points. A key part of the role is monitoring utility bills, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues with suppliers to ensure invoices are correct and payments are processed accurately. The position also involves supporting the financial management of utilities. This includes verifying and processing utility invoices in line with internal procedures, assisting with budgeting and forecasting utility expenditure, and identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency. The role will work closely with finance teams to reconcile accounts and resolve any billing queries. The successful candidate will maintain regular contact with utility providers and brokers regarding contracts, tariffs and supply issues. They will support the procurement and renewal of utility contracts, monitor supplier performance and escalate issues where necessary to ensure service standards are maintained.
