Highway Drainage Engineer
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Highways Maintenance Drainage Engineer to join a very busy highways maintenance team in the East Anglia region on a long-term contract basis.
Key experience / responsibilities:
·Practical knowledge and appreciation of highway drainage and the ability to solve problems related to highway drainage
·Familiar with maintenance of highway drainage and the associated problems caused by lack of maintenance with the ability to problem solve such problems
·Understanding of what statutory processes are required to implement a drainage scheme in terms of working on private land and relevant discharge consents
·Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and able to use AutoCAD
·Understanding of standard drawings and DMRB applicable to drainage works
·Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and standards in term of drainage works and health and safety
·Ability to identify specific hazards associated with the construction of drainage works and
·Capable of carrying out site surveys including levelling works
·Be able to manage the workload of multiple projects and prioritising accordingly
·Able to instruct and supervise on site CCTV survey/jetting works
·Provide examples of small to medium highway drainage projects
