A client within the Public Sector based in Hampshire is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Surveyor to join their Property Services Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing repairs and maintenance environment. The Role To deliver an effective and efficient Repairs & Maintenance service, carrying out pre- and post-inspections, technical surveys, and providing detailed reports to support responsive repairs, voids, cyclical works and complex building issues. The role will ensure works are delivered to quality standards, within budget, and in line with statutory and health & safety requirements. Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: • Carrying out diagnostic inspections, surveys and preparing technical reports for responsive repairs, voids and major/complex works. • Managing contractor performance, ensuring works are delivered to quality standards, on time, and achieving value for money. • Leading on legal disrepair cases and Environmental Health Orders, providing detailed reports and overseeing remedial works. • Managing insurance claims including inspections, decants, and liaison with loss adjusters. • Coordinating void property inspections to minimise rental loss and ensuring works meet lettable standards. • Ens...
