Offer description

The Cambridgeshire Learning Disability Partnership (LDP) is an integrated health and social care service for adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking to recruit a Music Therapist to a permanent Band 6 post.

The post is split to cover two of the multi-disciplinary teams, 15 hours in the Ely Team at the Princess of Wales Hospital and 12.4 hours in the South Cambridgeshire Team in Papworth Everard.

The successful applicant will be a vital part of an established Arts Therapy team, comprising both Art and Music Therapists. They will be an integral and active member of the East and South multi-disciplinary team, two of the five teams for adults with learning disabilities across Cambridgeshire.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Music Therapist to be part of our motivated team. You will have experience relevant to working within a community based multi-disciplinary team supporting adults with learning disabilities. As an autonomous practitioner you will manage a specialist case load under the guidance of a specialist Arts Therapist. You will be providing assessment, therapy and monitoring of individuals and groups with a range of mental health and emotional difficulties and providing support for their carers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a supportive team of Arts Therapists. You will be employed by the NHS and work closely with social work colleagues from Cambridgeshire County Council. You will have the chance to participate in the planning, development and evaluation of learning disability services including contributing to defined projects. Our service emphasises the importance of regular clinical and management supervision and has a clear on-going commitment to continued professional development and training.

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust is a health and social care organisation dedicated to providing high-quality care with compassion to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we care for, as well as supporting and empowering them to lead a fulfilling life.

Our clinical teams deliver many NHS services, not only via inpatient and primary care settings, but also within the community. These services include children's, adult and older people's mental health, forensic and specialist mental health, learning disabilities, primary care and liaison psychiatry, substance misuse, social care, research and development.

To achieve our goal, we look to recruit high-calibre candidates who share our vision and values. As an equal opportunities employer, we encourage applications from all sectors of the community, particularly from under-represented groups including disabled people and members of our ethnic minority and LGBTQ+ communities.

Please be advised we reserve the right to close adverts earlier than the closing date should we receive sufficient applications.

Regrettably, we cannot offer sponsorship for all our job roles. If you apply for a role that we cannot offer sponsorship for, unfortunately, your application form will be rejected from the process.
