Overview
A leading global consulting firm is expanding its Managed Services Solutioning team and is looking to hire Business Solutions Architects at Manager and Senior Manager level.
This role sits within a specialist team responsible for shaping and qualifying complex managed service opportunities within the public sector. You will play a key role in developing bid strategies, designing operating models, and shaping scalable managed service solutions that address complex client challenges.
Unlike traditional solution architect roles, this position is not heavily technology focused. Instead, it focuses on bid strategy, operating model design, and solution shaping, working closely with sales, delivery, and commercial teams to build compelling propositions that win large-scale engagements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the qualification and shaping of managed service opportunities within the public sector.
* Engage with internal stakeholders and potential clients to understand operational challenges and transformation objectives.
* Develop solution strategies and bid approaches aligned with procurement context, client requirements, and internal risk appetite.
* Interpret public sector procurement documentation including ITTs, SQs, DPS frameworks, and call-off mechanisms.
* Produce and present qualification papers, shaping recommendations, and solution options for internal governance forums.
* Design high-level operating models, delivery structures, and transition approaches for managed services solutions.
* Conduct commercial assessments and ROI analysis to ensure solutions are scalable and financially viable.
* Identify risks and dependencies associated with proposed solutions and develop mitigation strategies.
* Support the development of high-quality client proposals and bid submissions that clearly articulate value and differentiation.
Skills & Experience
* Experience designing outsourced or managed service solutions, particularly within business operations.
* Strong experience shaping bid strategies and complex client proposals.
* Understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks.
* Experience developing transition and transformation plans for large programmes.
* Ability to translate complex client requirements into structured, scalable operating models.
* Experience preparing and presenting qualification papers or solution recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Strong commercial awareness, including business case development and ROI assessment.
