Graduate Assistant – Academic Year 2026-2027
This role is designed for a recent Science graduate, specialising in life sciences, who is passionate about teaching biology and engaging young learners in the subject.
Responsibilities
* Teach biology across a reduced workload of approximately 24 forty‑minute periods per week (three to four classes).
* Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned to the school curriculum.
* Receive in‑service training and lesson observation support from senior staff.
* Participate in extra‑curricular activities such as coaching, orchestra, or student societies as appropriate.
Qualifications
* Recent graduate with a science degree, preferably in biology or a related life science field.
* Strong enthusiasm for teaching and fostering a love of science among students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Commitment to building understanding among young people and contributing to a positive learning environment.
