Job Description Housing Support Worker Stockton-on-Tees Young Person Service 3 Months 35 Hours (Rota) £16.62 LTD / £14.26 PAYE (inc hol) Support vulnerable young people in a regulated supported housing environment, promoting independence and ensuring their safety and wellbeing. THE ROLE This is a rewarding opportunity to provide tailored support to young people in a supported accommodation setting, helping them develop essential life skills and achieve independence. Deliver person-centred support in line with agreed support plans Maintain regular contact with young people to promote wellbeing and safety Conduct weekly health and safety inspections in communal and individual spaces Record and manage client information, property records and incident reports Coordinate and host social activities, meetings, and consultations Liaise with repair services and external agencies to ensure tenancy sustainment Comply with safeguarding protocols and Ofsted/funding body regulations THE SERVICE This role is working across two supported housing services in Stockton-on-Tees, providing accommodation and tailored support to vulnerable young people. One is an OfSted regulated service, supporting care leavers aged 16-25 in self-contained flats, helping them build independence through structured support and life skills development. The second is a non-regulated service, offering short- to medium-term supported housing for young people and families, focusing on tenancy sustainment, budgeting, and personal development. Both services provide person-centred support in a safe environment, with strong links to external agencies to help residents transition to independent living. THE CANDIDATE We're looking for someone with experience supporting vulnerable young people in a supported housing or community-based setting. Strong understanding of safeguarding and maintaining professional boundaries Confident communicator with both internal teams and external agencies Competent in using Microsoft Office for admin and reporting Able to coordinate group activities and engage young people in participation Willingness to work flexibly and travel for occasional training or service cover THE CONTRACT Full Time - Rota Basis between 8AM and 9PM 3 Month Contract, Temp to Perm opportunity The pay for the role is £16.62 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £14.26 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
