Manufacturing Engineer
Reporting to: Operations & Engineering Manager
We are seeking a proactive and technically strong Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in developing, optimising, and sustaining our manufacturing processes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Operations, Quality, and Customers, contributing directly to the successful delivery of high-quality products on time and at competitive cost.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously improve efficient manufacturing processes for both new and existing components, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and lead-time requirements.

Provide sustaining engineering and hands-on shop floor support to maintain production output, investigate technical issues, and resolve internal non-conformances.

Represent the Engineering function in Operations, Quality, and customer reviews, providing clear technical input and support.

Contribute to bids and contract reviews by supplying accurate costing, capability, and technical assessments.

Manage product structures within the ERP system, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings.
*
Assess and support sub-contractors, and develop clear procurement and manufacturing specifications.
*
Define tooling strategies and procedures during early phases of new product introduction (NPI).
*
Design effective work-holding solutions to support safe, repeatable, and efficient manufacture.
*
Produce and maintain CNC programs for turning, boring, and milling operations.
