We’re excited to offer a new opportunity for a Mid-Level React Native Developer to join the team responsible for building and evolving the myRAC mobile app.
Used by millions of RAC members, the myRAC app helps customers manage their breakdown cover, access services, report breakdowns, and stay connected with RAC whenever they need us.
You’ll join one of several cross‑functional squads working on the myRAC platform. Teams focus on different parts of the customer journey and collaborate closely to deliver a consistent experience across mobile and web.
The app sits on top of a large microservices‑based backend platform, and you’ll work closely with product managers, designers and backend engineers to deliver new features and improvements.
Our teams operate in a fast‑paced environment, releasing app updates to customers multiple times each month with daily updates to APIs.
This is a hybrid role, working 2 days a week from our Bradley Stoke office and 3 days from home.

What You’ll Do
* Develop and maintain features within the myRAC mobile app.
* Work within a cross‑functional squad delivering improvements across the customer journey.
* Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver reliable customer experiences.
* Contribute to technical discussions and help shape implementation approaches.
* Take a product‑oriented approach, focusing on delivering outcomes that improve the experience for RAC members.
* Integrate the mobile app with supporting SDKs and platforms, such as push notification services, analytics tooling, and monitoring tools (e.g. Sentry).
* Participate in code reviews and help maintain strong engineering standards across the mobile platform.
* Support the regular release cycle, delivering updates to customers multiple times each month.
* Investigate and resolve production issues and incidents when they arise.
* Use modern AI‑assisted developer tooling such as Copilot or Claude to support development workflows.
What You’ll Need
* Experience building mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript.
* Experience delivering apps for both iOS and Android.
* Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, backend services, or mobile SDKs.
* Understanding of the mobile app development lifecycle, including testing and releases.
* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or automated build and release processes for mobile apps.
* Experience working in Agile product teams.
* A results‑oriented mindset, focused on delivering value to customers.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills.
* A proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership of work and support the team during incidents or operational issues.
