Ceredigion County Council is seeking a dedicated and experienced/ Senior Licensing Officer/ to lead the operational delivery of our Licensing Service.
This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring that all licensable activities across the county comply with relevant legislation and Council policies.
As an authorised officer of the Council, you will be accountable for the enforcement of licensing requirements, overseeing a wide range of licensable areas including premises, taxis, gambling, and other licensable activities. You will also supervise a small team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and regulatory compliance.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in licensing enforcement or a related regulatory field, strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks, and excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and investigative skills. Experience in supervising or managing staff is desirable.
