Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Administrator / Accounts Clark to join our team. This role involves managing transportation-related administrative tasks and supporting financial processes within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital part in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining accurate records, and providing excellent administrative support. Prior office experience and strong computer skills are essential for this position, along with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Manage and coordinate transportation schedules and logistics to ensure timely deliveries and pickups
* Maintain accurate records of transport activities, including documentation and reporting
* Process invoices, payments, and other financial transactions using Xero and other accounting software
* Perform data entry tasks related to transport and accounts, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
* Utilise Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace for daily administrative tasks
* Handle correspondence via phone and email with clients, suppliers, and internal teams while maintaining professional phone etiquette
* Organise files, documents, and records systematically for easy retrieval and compliance purposes
* Support the accounts department with clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and general administrative support
Requirements
* Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
* Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
* Experience in administrative roles with good data entry skills and attention to detail
* Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
* Ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
* Previous clerical or administrative experience is preferred but not essential if the candidate demonstrates strong organisational abilities
* Knowledge of transport or logistics operations is advantageous but not mandatory
