Test Engineer - Fall Protection Kettering Salary - £29k plus good benefits An established UK-based organisation specialising in product testing and certification is seeking a Test Engineer to join its Safety Product Testing team. This is a full-time position working with a wide range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure products meet recognised international safety standards. The Safety Product Testing team conducts independent testing for a global customer base to verify that PPE products achieve required safety and performance levels. Products tested include items such as: Protective gloves Fall protection equipment Motorcycle garments High-visibility clothing Eyewear and helmets Hearing protection Chainsaw garments Kneepads and sports protectionThe department operates multiple accredited laboratories equipped with specialist testing machines used to evaluate the physical properties of PPE against European and international standards. Test results support product development and certification processes such as CE and UKCA marking. The team consists of approximately 25 technicians, technologists and support staff who coordinate and conduct testing programmes.
