The Management Science and Operations (MSO) area at London Business School invites applications for a fully funded postdoctoral research position starting from the academic year 2025/2026. The postdoctoral fellow will conduct research in Management Science and Operations, working closely with LBS faculty. The postdoc will be required to teach 37.5 hours (e.g., one half-term course to three streams) per academic year. Applicants must have completed a PhD before the appointment in operations management, operations research, computer science, applied mathematics, econometrics, economics, finance, or a related field. They must demonstrate strong capabilities for conducting original theoretical or applied research using tools such as optimization, stochastic modelling, econometrics and causal inference, game theory, and machine learning. Ideal candidates must have a strong interest in how their research tackles real-world business problems, taken in a broad sense. The term is one year, extensible to two years, subject to continued satisfactory performance. We will offer a competitive salary and full access to the LBS environment. The postdoctoral fellow is expected to contribute and benefit from the resources of the MSO community, which includes interactions with faculty and PhD students, mentoring opportunities, organisation of reading groups, and training sessions. London Business School is an equal opportunities employer, and as such, we welcome applications from women, black and other ethnic minority candidates who are under-represented in our faculty.
