You will be responsible for delivering a wonderful Wedding and Events experience for our guests. This covers all elements of planning and resourcing, including delivery on the day. The role: Description: The Events Manager is part of a Team of hospitality professionals responsible for the planning and delivery of unique events. They must be a highly organised and creative individual that is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of weddings and events, from initial consultation to the final event delivery. A skilled hospitality professional who oversees a wide range of tasks, including client consultations, vendor management, budget creation, event design, logistical coordination, and on-the-day management of the food and drink service. They will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, providing guidance and support to clients from the point that they book through to wishing them a fond farewell as they leave after their event. They will have a keen eye for detail, and a passion for creating memorable experiences that are meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. This is a Full-Time role working 5 days out of out of 7, including weekends, on a rota basis. On average 40 hours per week, which may vary depending on business needs. This list is broadly illustrative of the scope of responsibilities but is not exhaustive: Event planning: Client consultations to discuss their vision, budget, and preferences Upselling, encouraging clients to upscale their initial plans and to purchase additional food and drink offers to enhance their day Menu and drinks package development including the creation of customised menus based on dietary restrictions, cultural preferences, and the overall theme. Develop comprehensive event timelines Accurately record event details Draft client and internal planning documents Floor plans, and seating arrangements Collate and record relevant details and licenses for all supplier contractors Finance and budgets: Create and manage detailed budgets for each event Submit invoice requests on time Ensure all client payments are received according to the payment schedule Manage resources cost efficiently, staff, linen, perishables etc On the day event coordination: Oversee all aspects of the wedding day, ensuring everything runs smoothly from set-up to breakdown Adhere to the agreed time-plan Design and Décor: lay out clients personal and decorative items as instructed Supplier/Contractor Management: ensure they comply with rules and regulations Staff briefings to outline the service plan and salient details Direct and lead the service team throughout the event Guest management: welcome guests, address any concerns, deliver key announcements, and ensure a smooth experience Emergency preparedness, have a plan in place for unexpected situations, such as inclement weather or accidents Accommodation check-ins, departures and reception requirements Post-event follow-up to thank clients, vendors, and staff Team Leadership and Management: Mentorship of the service staff Training, induction and ongoing mentorship of events staff Coordination and communication with all departments (Kitchen, Bar, Front of House, Housekeeping) to ensure delivery of the event as promised Health and safety: Awareness of the company policies and procedures regarding safety compliance Ensure all safety measures are fully implemented for staff, guests and visitors Carefully follow all allergen protocols when designing and executing the service plan This is a fantastic opportunity to take on an events role at a well-established venue, working for the leading independent wedding and events company in the UK.
