Industrial Placement – Procurement, GSK
We are recruiting for a 1‑year Industrial Placement (June 2026 start) in Procurement at GSK HQ. The role offers real‑world experience in a global function that manages over £8 billion of supplier spend across both direct and indirect categories.
Key Responsibilities
* Support structured and challenging projects in Procurement, from sourcing to supplier management.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver cost savings, quality and supply assurance.
* Assist in the development of procurement strategies, supplier risk assessments and cost analysis.
* Maintain accurate and compliant documents, data and reports for business stakeholders.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and opportunities to enhance procurement processes.
Key Learnings & Development
* Teamworking and communication skills in a cross‑functional environment.
* Time management and problem‑solving within a fast‑paced commercial setting.
* Networking with senior suppliers, internal business units and external partners.
* Data analysis and management using GSK’s tools and platforms.
* Technical knowledge specific to each role, as outlined in the detailed role descriptions.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Currently studying an Undergraduate Degree (minimum 2 years completed).
* Not yet graduated at the start of the placement.
* Enrolled at a UK or ROI University for the duration of the placement.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Willingness to work flexible arrangements (office & home working possible).
