Job Title: Project Manager – CAMO Transition & Integration (Aviation) Location: UK / Middle East (Hybrid / Travel Required) Contract Type: Permanent Reporting To: Senior Management Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the transition, integration, and optimisation of a large Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) operation for a major international airline customer in the Middle East. This role will be responsible for managing the transfer and consolidation of a 90 person CAMO team into our organisation’s operational and governance framework, improving efficiency, compliance, and performance while maintaining regulatory and operational continuity. The successful candidate will act as the primary delivery lead between our organisation, the client, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Programme & Transition Management: Lead the end-to-end CAMO transition and integration programme. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and delivery schedules. Ensure smooth operational handover with minimal service disruption. Manage dependencies, risks, and change controls. Operational Integration: Align CAMO processes with internal policies, systems, and best practices. Standardise workflows, reporting structures, and documentation. Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives. Support organisational restructuring where required. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary interface with client senior management and regulatory bodies. Coordinate with internal teams (CAMO, Compliance, IT, Finance, HR, Operations). Chair progress meetings and provide regular status reporting. Manage expectations and resolve escalations. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure alignment with EASA/GCAA/DGCA and relevant national authority requirements. Oversee updates to CAME, SMSM, and related manuals. Support audits, inspections, and compliance reviews. Maintain strong governance and documentation standards. Team & Change Leadership: Lead and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across locations. Support workforce integration and cultural alignment. Implement change management strategies. Identify training and development requirements. Commercial & Performance Management: Monitor project budgets and resource allocation. Support contract performance metrics and SLAs. Identify opportunities for service improvement and value creation. Contribute to long-term client relationship development. Essential Requirements: Proven experience delivering complex operational or transformation projects. Demonstrable project management experience within aviation, aerospace, or regulated environments. Strong understanding of CAMO functions and continuing airworthiness principles. Experience managing large teams (50 staff). Excellent stakeholder and client-facing skills. Strong organisational and analytical capabilities. Ability to work in international and cross-cultural environments. Willingness to travel regularly to the Middle East. Desirable Experience: Background in commercial aviation operations. Experience working with airlines, MROs, or aviation service providers. Knowledge of EASA Part-CAMO / Part-M / Part-145 environments. Exposure to large-scale organisational change programmes.
