Class 2 Driver / Yard Operative (Hybrid Role)

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hard-working Class 2 Driver / Yardman to join a busy waste management company. This is a hybrid role, combining Class 2 vehicle driving (40%) with hands-on yard duties (60%), offering variety and steady weekday work.
This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate .
Role Details Pay Rate: £19.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Contract: Temp to Perm
Location: Paddock Wood
Key Responsibilities Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out collections and movements as required
General yard duties, including: Loading and unloading waste materials
Breaking down items in the yard
Assisting with waste disposal operations
Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment
Working closely with the yard and transport teams to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
Minimum 6 months Class 2 driving experience
CPC and Digital Tachograph card (essential)
No more than 6 points on your licence
Physically fit and capable of manual work due to the nature of yard duties
Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working outdoors
Good understanding of health and safety procedures
