Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and thorough Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining standards of cleanliness and decor in our properties, curating our gardens, and attending to minor maintenance tasks.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and safe environment, as well as a genuine desire to help others.
Duties
* Regular cleaning of communal areas in shared houses and blocks of flats.
* End of tenancy cleans for bedrooms in shared houses and for self-contained flats.
* Cleaning of resident's properties where this is part of their support package.
* Preparing empty properties ready to be occupied including furnishing and dressing rooms and making beds, etc.
* Decorating empty properties and communal areas of shared properties to a high standard.
* Maintaining gardens and outdoor areas, including mowing lawns, hedge cutting, weeding and litterpicking.
* Minor property repairs depending on experience.
* Regular property inspections to ensure our homes are kept to a high standard.
* Assisting the maintenance team on larger repairs and projects.
Experience
* Previous experience in a caretaker, cleaning or maintenance role is preferred but not mandatory.
* Familiarity with commercial cleaning techniques is advantageous.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds.
* A compassionate nature and a commitment to providing high-quality accommodation for our residents and tenants.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and responsibility in all tasks.
