At Whittlebury Park, we are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic hospitality superstar to join the food & beverage team as a Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nestled in hundreds of acres of ancient parkland, Whittlebury offers an award-winning 254-bedroom four-star hotel, conference, and training centre. We have award-winning facilities including a 3 AA Rosette restaurant, luxurious spa and championship golf course.
Salary:
Up to £12.21p/h - £ per annum (based on 16 hours per week)
What will you do?
As a Host with us, you will:
* Provide high-standard food and beverage service in a warm, friendly, and professional manner, promoting Whittlebury Hall and ensuring smooth restaurant operations.
* Maintain a high standard of service and customer care in a friendly and relaxed environment, focusing on the daily function of the restaurant and liaising effectively with guests
* Ensure punctuality and proper attire: Report for duty on time, wearing the correct uniform, and ensure all employees are appropriately dressed.
* Provide excellent service and manage operations: Serve guests' food and beverage needs promptly and professionally, clear used items, attend to guest requests, manage cash transactions, and handle guest queries and complaints.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation: Perform cleaning duties in the restaurant and kitchen areas, and assist in cleaning, polishing, storing, and distributing restaurant equipment.
* Preparation and Support: Assist in preparing the restaurant for service, including reconfiguring furniture and decorating for special events. Support team members and ensure all tasks are completed to company standards.
* Menu and Booking Management: Prepare menus and buffet labels with allergen information, manage private function signage and menus, check bookings and special requirements, draw up table plans, and handle linen orders
The hours of work will vary and will include weekends, late evenings, and holiday periods.
This list of duties cannot be exhaustive due to the requirements of the hotel industry. Therefore, you may be required from time to time to carry out reasonable tasks as requested by management.
