In our South Oxon CAMHS Getting Help Team, we are proud to be developing a needs-led, responsive, and accessible service based on the Thrive Model.
We are seeking an enthusiastic Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist to join our 'Getting Help' Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and make a real difference in the lives of young people referred to us.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Family Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, and Psychiatrists, with ample opportunities for sharing skills and knowledge. We offer supervision and training to support you, including individual and peer supervision and regular reflective spaces.
Your responsibilities include participating in the Getting Help/Getting More Help CAMHS Duty system, responding to and supporting young people, families, and professionals during changes in presentation or risk, whether they are open to the service or on the waiting list. You will attend clinical meetings, case conferences, reviews, strategy meetings, CETRs, and other relevant professional meetings, including mitigation calls.
You will deliver mental health assessments, risk assessments, and interventions for children and young people and families in the Getting Help team. Depending on the needs of the young person, this may involve using professional skills such as CBT, DBT, and systemic work.
