This role is unique within the LSB European Finance team of 20, reporting to the Head of Financial Control with two direct reports. Responsibilities include monthly management account close, reporting to HQ, general ledger & payables processes, and business partnering on functional cost centres.
Responsibilities:
Team
* Lead and develop a team of 2, providing support and ensuring high engagement
Management account close + reporting to HQ
* Lead period and year-end close processes, including local SAP submission and European consolidation
* Manage submission of monthly results in BPC, ensuring deadlines are met
* Maintain integrity of LSB Europe BPC data, ensuring alignment with local books and compliance with Group reporting guidance
General ledger + payable processes
* Ensure timely and correct processing of supplier payments
* Oversee employee expenses processing through Concur and system maintenance
* Ensure appropriate balance sheet reconciliations are in place, updated monthly/quarterly, and reviewed
Statutory + controls
* Support European Compliance Manager with tax, audit, and internal control compliance
* Build close relationships with Group accounting to ensure consistency and alignment
* Work with the Financial Reporting Manager to maintain a strong control framework
* Assist in internal and external audits with documentation and support
Planning/functional cost centres
* Support forecast and budget processes, including functional areas
* Partner with budget holders, providing reporting and insights to drive accountability
Experience you’ll bring:
* Qualified accountant
* Effective communicator across all levels
* Understanding of transactional processing in general ledger and payables
* Experience working with cross-functional teams
* Broad technical expertise in financial accounting, tax, audit, and controls
* Proactive approach with experience in accounting close and budgeting
* Strong SAP skills and experience managing large data sets
* Experience with Group consolidation systems like BPC
