Role Overview
Tetra Tech has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Administrator to join our busy Procurement team based in our Leeds city centre office. You will provide an effective, professional, proactive, and reliable Procurement support service. Work in conjunction with the Assistant Buyer, Buyer, and Procurement Manager on all Procurement matters to support the delivery of department’s services. Act as the main interface with Procurement enquiries to ensure timely and accurate processing of information.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide administration support for all Procurement processes in conjunction with the Assistant Buyer, Buyer, Procurement Manager, and Head of Procurement and Property.
2. Manage the purchase order process, daily requisitions, provide feedback to stakeholders, and amend purchase order modifications as necessary. Serve as the initial contact for routine Procurement requests, issues, or complaints via the Procurement mailbox.
3. Proactively answer queries and escalate complex matters as needed.
4. Make external requests to suppliers for price, availability, information, documentation, and service updates.
5. Update and maintain the new supplier and Pre-Qualification questionnaire requests and internal processes, including electronic files and databases.
6. Provide administrative support for sourcing day-to-day requests and approvals.
7. Assist in collating information, creating, and developing requests for proposals, quotations, and tenders.
8. Manage authorization requests for stationery, PPE, properties, rental hire, travel, and accommodation in line with policies and procedures.
Role Requirements
1. Computer literacy and knowledge of relevant software packages.
2. General knowledge of office administration processes.
3. Knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures.
4. Ability to interpret data and prioritize within guidelines.
5. Support and deliver effective results, meeting deadlines and targets.
6. Confidence to communicate with internal customers and external suppliers.
7. May be part-qualified or working towards a professional qualification.
8. Relevant A-level / HNC or equivalent preferred.
