Interaction Engineering Contract Electrical Engineer Installation Projects Northampton About the Role: Our client, a reputable engineering services provider, is seeking an experienced Contract Electrical Engineer to lead and support electrical installation projects across commercial and/or industrial site. This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise, strong project coordination skills, and a commitment to high-quality, safe installations. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and carry out electrical installation works according to project requirements and current regulations (BS 7671). Supervise or coordinate subcontractors and on-site teams to ensure safe and efficient execution. Carry out inspections, testing, and commissioning of installed systems. Produce and review electrical drawings, specifications, and documentation. Ensure compliance with HSE standards and client-specific protocols. Liaise with project managers, site personnel, and stakeholders on progress and technical issues. Requirements: Proven experience in electrical installation work (preferably in commercial or industrial settings). HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification. ECS/CSCS Card (Gold or above preferred). Strong knowledge of LV systems, containment, cabling, and control systems. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings. Availability to travel to project sites as required. Desirable: CompEx, HV Authorisation, or SSSTS/SMSTS. Experience working on large-scale M&E projects or within the energy/utilities sector.
