About the Role
Saab is expanding in the UK and we are now seeking a talented and highly motivated Systems Engineer to support our radar and sensors growth activities at our Fareham campus.
Much of our current work is centred on the G1X radar, a software‑defined radar with a regular capability update cycle post‑delivery and an established production line. As a Systems Engineer you will regularly work with current products, developing enhancements and investigating new areas for product growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Support to bid activities
* Requirements management activities
* Radar performance analysis
* System and sub‑system design
* Support to customer demonstrations
* Travel within the UK and abroad (including to Gothenburg office)
Required Skills
* Positive, social, results‑oriented and a team player with a background in systems engineering
* Experience with radar, communications or EW systems (minimum 5 years) considered essential
* Experience working with MATLAB, ideally with recorded radar data
* Experience in a recognised industry standard requirements management tool
* Familiarity with the principles of 15288:2023
* Familiarity with product road‑mapping and product lifecycle techniques
* Ability to work and develop in a team, and also work independently as required
* Good technical communication skills
* Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
During employment you will handle tasks and materials that are classified as military secret; therefore you must have UK or Swedish citizenship.
National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role. Applicants must hold National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or have the ability to gain it.
