Rosevale Lodge Care Home is a purpose-built facility offering specialist care for up to 68 residents living with dementia. Located beside the River Lagan and minutes from Lisburn town centre, the home is well connected with convenient access to local shops, bus, and train services. Rosevale Lodge is divided into two dedicated units: Dementia Nursing and Dementia Residential, ensuring tailored, person-centred care that meets a wide range of needs. The Role
The Senior Care Assistant role in our Nursing Homes is part of a dedicated team essential to the daily operations of the Home. Senior Care Assistants provide high-quality care and support to residents in a warm and safe environment. They provide leadership, guidance and hands-on assistance to ensure residents receive personalised care that meets their individual needs and preferences, working with Registered Nurses and Care Assistants. They also provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering meaningful relationships and advocating for residents’ rights and preferences.
Main Responsibilities
* Providing practical support and responsive care to residents who require assistance with intimate personal needs such as dressing, bathing and toileting activities, ensuring that such activities comply with procedures and relevant healthcare legislation.
* Observing and monitoring the wellbeing of residents; promptly referring any unusual physical, mental or emotional occurrences to senior staff / the primary nurse and documenting as appropriate.
* Monitors and allocates the work for care assistants.
* Develops and maintains a good professional relationship with residents, colleagues and visitors, responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries.
* Responsible for the administration of medicines.

Required Criteria
* Medications experience within care setting
* The Right to Work in the UK
* Educated to a minimum GCSE/NVQ 3 or above (or similar qualification) with a good standard of English
* Previous Care Experience
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience in care home setting
* Experience supervising staff
