This is a great opportunity for a Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an ambitious and growing construction company where you will be involved in a large number of projects, all whilst playing a pivotal role within the businesses growth.
Summary
We are seeking a talented Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing costs and ensuring the financial success of our projects, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional service.
In this role you will take on a number of responsibilities where you will be working from the office and visiting sites across the Country when required. In this role you will be working closely with the Site and Project Managers and you will be involved in all aspects of the commercial process. Throughout the projects duration you will be supporting in the management of projects from a commercial standpoint where you will be liaising with on-site teams as well as clients.
Therefore, the ideal candidate will be a Junior or Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has previous experience working on projects within the construction industry who also holds a full UK drivers license to be able to travel to sites when necessary.
Responsibilities
* Prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects
* Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures
* Collaborate with project managers to ensure financial objectives are met
* Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters
* Preparation of monthly valuations, compensation events & invoicing
* Qualifications
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Proficiency in relevant software applications
