We are seeking a proactive 2nd Line Security Analyst to join our team. In this visible role, you will act as an escalation point between 1st Line Support and senior Security/Infrastructure teams, helping identify and remediate device vulnerabilities while supporting ongoing security improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and remediate vulnerabilities on laptops, desktops, VDI, and mobiles.
* Perform Qualys vulnerability scans; prioritise and track remediation using Microsoft Autopatch.
* Investigate EUC-related security incidents (malware, phishing, unauthorised access).
* Maintain compliance with security standards and support audits.
* Collaborate with Service Desk and engineering teams to guide device hardening.
* Support user security awareness initiatives.
* Hands-on experience with EUC technologies (Windows 10/11, macOS, MDM, VDI).
* Working knowledge of vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Nessus) and patch management solutions (SCCM, Intune, Autopatch).
* Understanding of endpoint and network security best practices; familiarity with frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST).
* Experience with Microsoft Defender, M365, Azure, and Active Directory.
Desired Skills:
* Track record leading remediation projects and patch cycles.
* Scripting/automation abilities (PowerShell).
* Advanced certifications (e.g., Microsoft Security, CompTIA CySA+).
* Mentoring experience and process improvement contributions.
* Familiarity with compliance standards (IASME, Cyber Essentials Plus) and advanced endpoint protection.
