Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-6 (£24,027- £25,183) Pro Rata
Hours: 32.5 hours per week (to include a lunchtime duty), 39wks per year (term time only)

The Head teacher and Governing Body of Llysfaen Primary School are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who iscommitted to children’s learning and wellbeing to join our ‘highly successful and happy school’ (Estyn March 2024).
Required from September 2025 a friendly, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work as part of a dedicated team assisting teachers and giving general and specific support to the children. Experience of working with primary age children and areas of interest/expertise should be stated in your application. An NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification is desirable. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to establish good working relationships with children, staff and parents.
This is a temporary position until July 2026.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
