FirstAchieve are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our global engineering parnter, specialising in the overhaul and maintenance of rotating equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking for stable hours and competitive pay.
Position Details:
* Role: Mechanical Fitter
* Hours: 37 hours per week
* Pay Rate: £23 per hour
* Type: Full-time, permanent
Key Responsibilities:
* Overhaul, repair, and maintenance of rotating equipment (pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.)
* Fault finding, diagnostics, and precision fitting
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and to a high standard
* Working both independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally with rotating equipment
* Apprenticeship served or time-served mechanical fitter
* Strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills
* Ability to work from technical drawings
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Relevant engineering qualifications (preferred but not essential)
