We are recruiting for a nurse qualified Deputy Manager with experience of mental health and challenging behaviour to support a specialist care provider and highly regarded nursing service supporting adults with dementia and mental health needs. Working closely with the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day clinical and operational leadership of the home, ensuring consistently high standards of safety, compliance, and person-centred care. The position offers a predominantly supernumerary leadership presence with some clinical visibility on shift, providing the opportunity to influence culture, develop teams, and drive continuous quality improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide visible clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team Support governance, audits, incidents, and care planning to maintain safe, effective services Promote strong compliance aligned to CQC Fundamental Standards Contribute to recruitment, supervision, and colleague development Build positive relationships with residents, families, and professionals Champion safeguarding, medication management, and health & safety Candidate Requirements Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, or RNLD) with active NMC registration Proven leadership experience within complex care, neurological, dementia, or mental health services Strong understanding of clinical governance and regulatory expectations Confident team leader able to coach, motivate, and develop others Organised, compassionate, and values-driven approach The role offers: Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience Career development pathway and funded learning Generous annual leave plus bank holidays Wellbeing and recognition initiatives Meals on shift, parking, pension, and life assurance The chance to make a meaningful difference within a specialist clinical service Interested?
