Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Protocol Education is working alongside secondary schools in the Swindon area to appoint a Cover Supervisor to supervise whole classes during short-term absences of teachers. You will play a vital role in ensuring that students continue to learn and make good progress when their teacher is away.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across various age groups and subjects. It offers valuable experience in secondary education, especially for aspiring teachers, or allows experienced teachers to remain in education without additional planning and marking commitments. Previous experience in education is preferred but not essential; relevant experience such as coaching, youth work, or subject specialism will also be considered.

Responsibilities include:
1. Covering lessons and delivering pre-set lesson plans
2. Ensuring student engagement and work completion
3. Managing classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment
4. Adapting to different subjects and year groups
5. Supporting the school's continuity of education
Candidate Profile:
* Genuine care for children's education and a passion for working with young people
* Ability to build confidence, knowledge, and skills in students
* Willingness to go the extra mile and positively influence students' futures
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, reading comprehension)
* Previous experience working with children and young people
* Proven track record of making a positive impact on children's lives in any field
* Right to work in the UK
