Job Summary
Responsible for delivering, managing and developing medicines management within Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust. Lead on the development of a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement, advising and guiding service managers. Support Virtual Wards and Discharge to Assess in the Community. No weekends. Outstanding CQC rating. Cross-working with other sectors (e.g. Acute Trust, ICB, Community Pharmacy). Varied services including Urgent Care, Sexual Health, Community Nursing, Community Wards and other services. Forefront of innovation. New ways of working with a growing Pharmacy team.
Main duties of the job
* To ensure that medicines related stock processes are undertaken in line with Trust policies and current medicines legislation. Regularly review stock lists with operational staff and specialist pharmacy services.
* Joint responsibility, with all medicines management staff, pharmacists and ward technicians, for the safety and security of all medicines including controlled drugs.
* Participate with staff to ensure appropriate and effective use of medicines for patients within all operational services; ensure medicines related problems are dealt with promptly by an appropriate person.
* Participate in medicines related training of clinical staff, communicating medicines management and technical information to services and individual staff members.
* Supervise stock management processes within clinical services; advise on practice and process. Ensure prescribing and supply reflect the Lincolnshire Joint formulary, challenging where appropriate. Collect data from various sources to provide reports (e.g. NHSBSA) and present to Drug and Therapeutics Committee in line with guidelines and formularies.

* Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with GPhC.
* Educated to diploma level 3 or equivalent in a relevant medicines related subject or equivalent qualification or significant equivalent proven experience (degree level).
* NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
Desirable
* Evidence of project management
* Experience in leadership of staff/teams
* Experience in senior role
* Experience in medicine-related services (e.g. community pharmacy, hospital dispensary or medicines management)
* Knowledge of Safe and Secure Handling of medicines and Controlled Drug regulations
